Just completed a move from Diamond Valley to Calgary on February 27th and we are so happy we hired Sparta Movers Calgary to help us. This company was professional and easy to work with, starting with Michael who helped us with the inventory list, quote and supplied us with tips to make the move easier. The crew that did the move (Dom, Chuck, David and Zaed) were outstanding. They protected and handled our furniture and walls with great care. All this and they were very personable with a great sense of humour. The crew worked so hard and finished in less time than quoted saving us some cost. We have already recommended Sparta Movers to another person and would definitely hire them again for our next move.

The whole team at Sparta were great to deal with. Having used different movers in the past, I was a bit skeptical. However, Michael was responsive and answered my questions when setting up the quote and in touch with me all the way to the move date. The team that showed up that day were great. Dom and his team were on time, took care and time to wrap and protect everything, and still moved with speed to get the truck packed. When we arrived Dom walked me through liability regarding certain pieces as the stairwells and turns were pretty tight. Still, the communication between Dom, Chuck and Zayeed was great and they managed to get everything up the flights of stairs with no damage. I wouldn't hesitate to call on these guys again and appreciate the care they took with the move.

Been waiting until the delivery out east and it went off without a hitch today. Nothing was damaged at all and their service at the delivery was excellent so I can finally get to write a review to rave about the entire experience.Normally, moving sucks. I've done it a lot, a couple times across country. I can accurately say there hasn't been a single experience as great as this one has been. From the very first email asking for a quote (thank you Michael!!) customer service has been exceptional! He answered all my questions quickly and easily, relieved me of all my concerns. So I booked the move.After that Emily and Taylor helped organize and schedule the pickup and delivery. They were fantastic to work with! They accommodated the issues I had with trying to get there for the pickup, as well as worked with our needs for the delivery. Everything went perfectly.Both the pickup and the delivery crews were exceptional. They were professional, quick, and were a joy to deal with. The pick up crew was very good at keeping me aware of what they were doing and going through all the paperwork for insurance etc etc.The entire experience was just amazing. So much better than I expected, and from reading other reviews, I already had high hopes.You can not go wrong in dealing with Sparta Movers or Great Canadian Van Lines. If I ever need to do this kind of move again I will definitely be contacting them!!

Ours was a 2 day job due to distance. We can't stress enough how absolutely amazing the Sparta team was! Right from the get-go the quotation process was unbelievable! We knew we were getting a proper quote and there would be no surprises. The moving team, both for loading and unloading, were polite, efficient, and had a good sense of humour too! Everything went faster than expected!We've used others in the past but they do not even come close to what we experienced the past 2 days! Amazing job guys! We are very thankful for all your hard work....especially on those stupid stairs! 😂Highly, highly recommend Sparta!

Thank you Sparta Movers for your outstanding work. The scope of the job went way above what we expected and everyone on the crew stuck it out. These guys were easy to spend the day with, very personable and they didn’t take their foot off the gas pedal until the job was complete.But I think the best part about this company is their genuine honesty. These are hardworking humans wanting to do a good job for their clients. I surfaced several concerns along the way, and all of them were handled professionally and completely.Highly recommended!

Dom, Chuck and Bryce were excellent…6 STARS. This company has an easy way to log an inventory for an estimate. They call as a follow up to confirm contents and location. They also provide a follow up call a couple of days before the move date.The crew (Dom, Chuck and Bryce were friendly, extremely efficient and careful with our contents. They appreciate when customers are organized and worked their butts off to ensure the day went smoothly.An amazing company with amazing staff. They are on my callback list if we move again.Thanks gentlemen!!

Just had a move completed by Sparta Movers and am beyond impressed and happy with the service I received. I had the fortunate luck of getting Dom, Bryce and Chuck to move our 4 bedroom house. They took the time to keep my informed with their progress, safely wrapped and moved items and set them up in the rooms where I wanted them, and even finished faster than expected. Their prices for what you get is outstanding. I honestly don’t think I’ll go with a different moving company if I need to move again at any point. Once you get in your 30’s, beer and pizza isn’t enough to get your friends to help you move. This was well worth every penny, and it was totally reasonable price at that. Thank you guys for making a super stressful situation, stress free and easy

These movers are the best I’ve ever used! I moved a 2700 sq. ft home which took two 5 ton trucks and a 5 man crew over 10 hours to accomplish, excluding their travel time!The crew was thoughtful, helpful and happy throughout the day! Every single one of the guys mentioned how much they enjoy the work they do and it showed in the care and consideration they gave to both myself and my belongings! I should also mention they moved my roommate last week and that move too went off without a hitch!The quote was done with a virtual tour and the move booked. I received a booking confirmation and the day prior they contacted me to confirm and on the day they came they called as they left the depot and again when they were 10 minutes out!They were punctual, polite and absolutely wonderful to work with. Can’t recommend them highly enough!

The people at Sparta were great to deal with. After a minor hiccup on scheduling issues it was clear sailing. Reminders the day before, calls on the morning of packing and of moving and fast and efficient. I had them do the packing as well which was done quickly and efficiently. The staff were friendly and very helpful. On the move day the crew hustled all day and it was done ahead of schedule. A job well done and praise well deserved. Came in well under budget. Sparta represents what other companies of any type should strive for.

We had a huge move from an acreage to a house in Airdrie. The guys (Jim and his crew) were awesome in both packing up and moving our furniture, including our beautiful piano. Everything was carefully wrapped, taped up and delivered to the new address and placed in its new location without any issues or damages. These guys worked tirelessly some 9 hours in total and were even willing to carry an older and heavy washer/dryer set to the basement without complaining. Kudos to these guys and this company, we will recommend them to anyone who wants to move without a ton of stress!

We have used Sparta for two moves in the last month. The booking of both moves was fantastic - Angela was very friendly and accommodated every request I had. Every time I called, she was organized, knew who I was, and which move I was calling about. The first move included moving furniture from one location to another and then unloading a storage pod. The crew was on time and very efficient - the pod was unloaded in record time. The second move included packing (Brandy and James did a great job with all the boxes, especially as we had to divide the contents for two separate drop-offs). The moving crew (Fazil, Farrukh and Randy) were also fantastic - and worked extremely efficiently to move the contents from a condo into a retirement residence, and then the remainder to another location. They understood and respected all the Covid restrictions necessary there. I will definitely use them again.

My experience with Sparta began speaking with Angela-Sparta’s receptionist and moving scheduler who really cared and expressed great concern for my move suggesting moving tips etc. Angela told me she’d send her “A Team” on my moving day and that she did! A team of 3 polite and respectful men moved my belongings (disassembled a bed for me and then reassembled it)....they were quick, efficient and the price was right. You get what you pay for. Thank you Sparta Movers!! I’d recommend your moving services to anyone.

From my first phone call for advice up until the movers left, everyone I dealt with was friendly, helpful and professional. Angela provided straight forward advice and helped me make important decisions about my move. She send a ton of resources; information about how to pack and what to clean, checklists and more information than I thought I needed. And she patiently answered all my questions. The movers showed up on time and ready to work hard. And work hard they did. The were friendly, professional and always made sure that everything was the way I wanted it. Even before they left they made sure that everything was set up in a way that made sense for me. I recommend Sparta Movers with no hesitation.

I was a pain-in-the-butt customer. I know that. I asked for quotes from 10 different companies to move a very specific list of items. The quotes I got back varied wildly, some doubling others. I picked 3 companies who had better responses than the others (not necessarily cheaper, but seemingly more interested in winning my business) and continued pressing for more accurate quotes. I found that Sparta went above and beyond to earn my business and I was satisfied with the final quote. The actual move was like clock-work, even finishing earlier and further reducing the costs of the service. The guys were super friendly, hard working and careful, and even moved a couple of items that unexpectedly came up without even a hint of complaint. A great experience overall. I'd highly recommend Sparta for your moving needs.

It's hard to write a positive review if you're giving 5 stars because will think there must be some ulterior motive. But we used Sparta and they were great. Actually we had 3 hard workig fellows who woud happily pause holding huge loads and ask where we would like them placed. You'd think they were moving giant Faberge eggs they were so careful. Nothing got scratched dropped dented or anything. The guys never took a break and actually finished ahead of schedule and I paid less than the estimate. I recommended them to family who were equally pleased with the service. Having previously experienced a bad move this was a happy change. We wil look forward to using them again. They are cheerful, and seem to genuinely happy to be t work. They actually treated our possessions as if they were there own. Use these movers.

Great experience using Sparta Movers. After a referral from a friend at work, I decided to use Sparta as the company to move us. From the first email, everything was as professional as you could ask for. On the day of the move, i received a call from the workers and they advised me that they were doing truck checks and once that was completed they would make their way to our house. They were right on time, looked over all of our belongings and then read our contract out to us, showed it to us and then had us sign it. The moment that was done, they got to work and I couldn't be more impressed. The guys had our stuff in the truck so well stacked that every inch of the truck was used and all of our things fit.To deliver to our new house the truck had to be on a two lane undivided highway and during that trip a car tried to make a pass of 6 other vehicles causing the moving truck to partially hit the ditch. They handled the situation very well. Upon arrival we checked for any damage and if anything had shifted. To our surprise, we lost one tequila bottle through it all. And we aren't even sure if that happened during the transit. Everything else stayed in place and was unharmed. The guys had our house of 3 bedroom and 2 levels loaded and unloaded in 5 hours.Well worth it and cannot give these guys enough praise. The price is very comparable to all other companies and I think you need to look beyond price.
